Frank Cordovano brings authenticity, experience, and excellence to his work with people struggling with substance use disorder.
Forty-one years ago, he was addicted and living on the streets of New York City. Two years later, with support from the 12-step community and the arduous work of recovery underway, he began a rewarding career in the finance industry. He left Wall Street to pursue his true passion---helping others to find recovery. The lone wolf came back to the pack.
During his 41 years of recovery, he has mentored individuals from the streets to the boardroom. From 2007 to 2009, he served on the Board of Directors for the Freedom House, the oldest women’s sober living home in the U.S. From 2012 to 2015, he managed sober living houses in Santa Monica and Venice Beach, California. He was also a highly sought after sober companion to elites such as CEOs, known sports figures and entertainers who wanted to keep their recovery private.
A special area of interest to Frank is helping those living with disability. He volunteers his time to teach adaptive skiing to disabled children, and Wounded Warriors. Along with his other gifts, Frank is blessed with a daughter with special needs.
In 2016, Frank found breathwork as the ultimate solution for relieving the trauma that he suffered at being at Ground Zero on 9/11. He witnessed many of coworkers and friends perish in real time.
On that day, his life changed. The next fifteen years were filled with horrific recurring nightmares and an internal chaos that ultimately destroyed his family, his business, his relationships and his sanity.
That is, until he was introduced to breathwork.
In a single session, he experienced a life changing cathartic release. Decades of trauma internalization dissolved and for the first time in years he felt whole again. He knew immediately that his purpose was to use this life-saving tool to help others heal. From that day forward, he sought out the most renowned instructors all over the world He knew he had to learn from the best in order to be the best in helping others heal. He is now a Certified Breathwork Instructor.
Often, what he hears from new participants is, "...that was like doing twenty years of therapy without saying a single word."
